Workout Recap - Week of February 17, 2019
Confession time: I've been watching Gotham like a madman on Netflix recently. It's not a well-written show on the whole, and I'm not a big Batman fan by any means, but there are just so many incredible performances by the actors that it's still fun to watch. In particular, Robin Lord Taylor (Penguin) and Cory Michael Smith (Riddler) must have chronically sore backs from how hard they carry every scene they're in, and in no particular order, Jada Pinkett Smith (Fish Mooney),
Workout Recap - Week of February 10, 2019
This was a pretty busy week for me, and it'd been a while since I had a reduced load, so I decided to only do four workouts this week. That's not to say that I took it easy on myself, of course. I still went at it hard when I was exercising; I just had a bit of extra recovery time mixed in. In my mind, that's very distinct from spending the usual amount of time doing easier workouts (something that I try to avoid unless it's to protect myself against an injury). While the

My objective for this week's workouts was to have a soft focus on pull ups. As I've said many times, I do have a long term target of being able to do one-armed pull ups, so even if I wasn't actively working towards that with every workout, I wanted to at least be doing something on the bar to help put some progress towards that goal. Sunday Type: Pass/Fail One-armed Push Ups, feet together - 2 sets of 7, each side (pass) T&A Pull Ups - 2 sets of 5, each side (pass)

It's a good one that I'd certainly recommend trying out if you want very flavor-neutral pancakes. I like something that has a bit more excitement to it, though, so I kept trying to tweak it until I came up with this, which I've since made pretty much every weekend. This makes about 20-24 pancakes, has a more delicate
Workout Recap - Week of January 27, 2019
I've had a bit of muscle discomfort at the front of my abdomen lately. It doesn't feel bad enough to call it a real injury, but since it'd been lingering for so long, I thought it'd be a good idea to have a week of trying to go easy on my waist so that it could heal up. It's feeling better now, so I'd say that plan was a success. Sunday Type: Pass/Fail One-armed Push Ups, feet together - 2 sets of 7, each side (pass) T&A Pull Ups - 2 sets of 5, each side (pass)
