Workout Recap - Week of August 27, 2017

Busy, busy, busy. That was my week, enough so that I cut things down to just four workouts. Perhaps that's not such a bad thing, though. Next week being the first full week of a new month means that it's time for the 100 burpee challenge again, so maybe having a lightened load this week will let me put for focus into that. I doubt it, but hey, I'm looking for whatever positives I can get here.

Sunday

Type: Pass/Fail

Semiclose Handstand Push Ups - 2 sets of 12 (pass)

1-Armed Standing Pulls - 2 sets of 20, each side (pass)

Shrimp Squats - 2 sets of 10, each side (pass)

Bonus: 4 sets of 3 ass clap push ups, 10 breath 1-armed dead hang (each side)

I felt pretty good with everything this week, especially doing a slightly harder variation of plyometric push ups in the bonus. I think it's time to try moving on to doing shrimp squats with both hands behind my back.

Tuesday

Type: As Fast As Possible

4 sets of:

10 Pull Ups

15 Bridges

20 Mountain Climbers (each side)

Time = 7:30

Bonus: 2 sets of 10 fingertip push ups

A solid performance. There isn't much else to be said about this one.

Wednesday

Type: Pass/Fail

1-Armed Push Ups, Feet Together - 2 sets of 6, each side (pass)

Stand-to-Stand Bridges (with one touch of a wall on the way up) - 2 sets of 8 (pass)

Hanging V Raises - 2 sets of 8 (pass)

Bonus: 3 sets of 2 two-way suicide jumps

Ah, finally managed to do some reverse suicide jumps without landing on my ass. The movement still feels really awkward, but I'm sure that I'll get used to it with time.

Saturday

Type: As Fast As Possible

7 sets of:

7 Pull Ups

7 Burpees

Time = 7:30

Bonus: 1 pull up, 1 burpee

A bit of a slow time. I have excuses for why, but when it's all said and done, the performance wasn't where it should've been. On the plus side, I was going pretty strong through most of the routine (finished the fifth set just a bit ahead of the five minute mark), so I can take some solace in having had a good showing until I just ran out of endurance.
