Workout Recap - Week of January 3, 2021
New year, new beginnings, same animal, different beast. I'm fairly satisfied with how things went. It could always be better in theory, but it could definitely always be worse in practice.
Sunday
Type: Pass/Fail
Close Pull Ups - 3 sets of 7 (pass)
Shoulder-width Handstand Push Ups - 3 sets of 7 (pass)
Bonus: none
Making progress from where I was at with both of these is great.
Tuesday
Type: Pass/Fail
Diamond Push Ups - 2 sets of 18 (pass)
Closing Bridges - 2 sets of 5 (pass)
Hanging Straight Leg Raises - 2 sets of 9 (pass)
Bonus: none
All three of these are just a small step away from meeting my progression targets, which is awesome. Focusing on just the bridges for a moment, though, there's still a noticeable improvement in performance from the first set to the second, which suggests to me that my warm-ups aren't doing enough to prepare me. I need to think about how to address that.
Thursday
Type: Pass/Fail
Close Pull Ups - 1 set of 12 (pass)
Shoulder-width Handstand Push Ups - 1 set of 12 (pass)

This was a tight day, so I fit in what I could. I'd like to get back to that being an aberration rather than a regular occurrence.
Saturday

21/15/9 Prisoner Squats
21/15/9 Push Ups
21/5/9 Straight Leg Raises
Time = 4:30

Finally, a (little) bit of variety in my timed workouts! I know I've been in a major rut with these, so I just have to keep pushing myself to change that.
