Workout Recap - Week of July 24, 2022
Well, my Muay Thai classes are definitely a new sort of challenge. I went at them too hard and got a bit banged up before accepting that my enthusiasm had to be reigned in, but even if I wasn't interested in them as a means of learning how to fight (which I am), I felt good enough about how the experiences that I'd have no regrets about signing up for the longest commitment that the place offered (six months). Of course, it's easy to say that when I am interested in them as
Workout Recap - Week of July 17, 2022
Some good news this week, in that my left shoulder is feeling better. It isn't quite back to normal yet since there are a few times per day that I get a moment of odd discomfort until it cracks, but it's been responding well in terms of performance as I've been ramping up the workload on it, so it's likely some sticky fascia that I can work through until it resolves completely. Workout Recap - Week of July 10, 2022
I was very sick for a couple of days this week, so that threw things off. Shadowrun Dragonfall
Rating: A- Playing Time: approx. 50 hours Having played Shadowrun Returns recently, it seemed sensible to continue with the trilogy; thus, Dragonfall. I'll skip the rambling background intro (it'd be a repeat of what I said for Returns, more or less) and get right into things. This game was great. The story starts out in Berlin during the time of the anarchist Flux State, with your character joining a team led by an old acquaintance to pull off what was supposed to be an eas
Workout Recap - Week of June 26, 2022
I got things back to where I'd like them to generally be in terms of workout quantity, albeit through an atypical route that's left me with some DOMS at the moment. Monday Type: Pass/Fail Uneven Handstand Push Ups - 2 sets of 6, each side (pass) Pistol Squats - 2 sets of 6, each side (pass) Hanging Straight Leg Raises, with hip twists - 2 sets of 6, each side (pass) Bonus: 4 sets of 3 two-way suicide jumps, 7 burpees I was out-of-sorts mentally during this, so balancing for t
