Workout Recap - Week of May 29, 2022
I'm pretty damn happy with how this week's workouts went. It's debatable if I set the intensity high enough, but I went all out with what I had in front of me and have nothing to regret on that front. Next week is probably going to be a lighter week (unless I can sneak in something extra where I don't expect to have time), but in any case, that's an issue for the future.
Monday
Type: As Fast As Possible
5 sets of:
5 Pull Ups
10 Push Ups
15 Prisoner Squats
Time = 5:00
Bonus: 17 breath isometric towel flex hang
A classic baseline check, with a decent result. This isn't the best time I've ever put up for this routine, but for my present condition, it's a good one.
Tuesday
Type: As Fast As Possible
3 sets of:
11/8/5 Tuck Jump Burpees
21/15/9 Straight Leg Raises
21/15/9 Bridges
Time = 7:15
Bonus: 2 sets of 8 chin ups
A step towards getting back some of my proficiency with volume burpees. They're tiring, but they're worth it.
Thursday
Type: As Fast As Possible
6 sets of:
6 Pull Ups
6 Burpees
6 Bridges
Time = 7:30
Bonus: 10 bridges
Going into this workout, I was thinking of toning it down to five sets, but once I started moving, I went for it. I was sucking a little more air than I'd like in the last couple of sets, but the best way to get better at a workout is to do it.
Friday
Type: As Fast As Possible
3 sets of:
11/8/5 Tuck Jump Burpees
21/15/9 Straight Leg Raises
21/15/9 Bridges
Time = 6:30
Bonus: 2 sets of 8 chin ups
A repeat from earlier in the week, because I'd wanted something simple. Improving the completion time by three measurement intervals is fantastic.
Saturday
Type: As Fast As Possible
7 sets of:
7 Burpees
7 Bridges
Time = 7:45
Bonus: 1 burpee, 1 bridge, 10 pull ups
This was an improvement over my last completion time for this routine, and that's really all that can be asked for. Excellent result, and I'm hungry for more.
