Workout Recap - Week of August 22, 2021
Returning to five workouts this week, and feeling good doing it. To be honest, most of it went by in a bit of a blur because this was one of those weeks where I seemed to have nothing to do and yet no time to do it in. As a consequence, I don't think that I had much of interest to say about any of them, but then again, that's hardly stopped me from posting these recaps in the past. That said, one thing that I have been doing for the whole month is following ivanmike1968's #
Workout Recap - Week of August 15, 2021
Naturally, announcing some plans in the intro for my previous recap meant that they had to get derailed this week. I had some discomfort in one of my toes to start the week, so I took things light to give it time to recover. It did so eventually, and it has not gotten agitated again in the days since, so I don't think it was a sign of any deeper issue, but I'll bear it in mind as I turn up the intensity again. Workout Recap - Week of August 8, 2021
Back up to a full workload this week, and back to doing some timed workouts again, too. They felt great! Something about going against the extra pressure of an impartial clock adds a delightful extra zing. I'm not sure why I went for so long without them, but I definitely mean to keep them as a regular feature going forward. Monday Type: As Fast As Possible 4 sets of: 5 Pull Ups 5 Burpees 5 Bridges 20 Mountain Climbers (each side) Time = 5:45 Bonus: none What better way to
Workout Recap - Week of August 1, 2021
On account of the discomfort I was feeling at the end of last week, I took this week as an opportunity to dial down the movement difficulty and do some maintenance work. I will step things up again, but the occasional reset can be beneficial to give the body a chance to recover fully. Monday Type: Pass/Fail Bridges - 2 sets of 20 (pass) Straight Leg Raises - 2 sets of 25 (pass) Bonus: none I think this was a nice excuse to make sure that my midsection felt comfortable with r

Grim Dawn (including Ashes of Malmouth, Crucible, and Forgotten Gods)
Rating: A+ Playing Time: About 130 hours to date Having posted reviews for Diablo 2, Path of Exile, and Last Epoch, it’s only fitting that I also post one for another of the big names in that genre, Grim Dawn. Honestly, I hadn’t played this one sooner because the glimpses of gameplay that I saw for it never really caught my interest, but after realizing that I’d snatched it up at some point in the past, I figured that I might as well give it a try. Given the rating that I’m
Workout Recap - Week of July 25, 2021
As has been my trend of late, I'm back up to five workouts for this week. The dearth of bonuses might've made the workload a bit on the light side overall, but I'm fine with how they went. Unfortunately, I did start to experience a little discomfort with my left knee a few hours after the Saturday workout, so I'm hoping that clears itself up soon enough to wave it off as nothing serious. Monday Type: Pass/Fail Uneven Pull Ups - 1 set of 6, each side (pass) Archer Push Ups -
