Catching up, part four.
Tuesday
Muay Thai class
This class worked on long sequences. It was rough for my first one back after a bout of illness over the weekend, but I survived. That said, I did skip out on the boxing class this day to avoid going overboard too soon.
Wednesday
Muay Thai class + Boxing class
The guest kru ran a head-to-head back-and-forth defense class. It started out fine, mixed in some odd stuff around the middle, but then finished nicely with some freestyle work to bring it all together, so all in all, a good class. The boxing class focused on footwork and staying active. It finished up with a five-spot drill station gauntlet rotation that I was pretty dead by the end of. I felt like a zombie for much of the class from fatigue, but I was glad that I stayed for it.
Thursday
Muay Thai class + Boxing class
This was a basics review class to help catch up some newbies. Nothing fancy, obviously, but it's always a good grind. Likewise, it's always a low-key cool moment to bruise someone's legs through kick shields (as long as it's someone who isn't new, because it's not showing any accomplishment in that case). The boxing class worked on some relatively common punch sequences and options for defending against them. It featured a lot of light back-and-forth with some reaction practice on top, making it also a simple and productive session.
