Workout Recap - Week of September 13, 2020

September 21, 2020

On the plus side, I pushed myself into five workouts last week.  On the minus side, I'm going to fall short of that this week.  Something just feels off for me, in terms of general motivation to do much of anything.  My Korean studies have also fallen mostly into autopiloted reviews, and I clearly haven't posted that Diablo 2 amazon class guide yet, either.  Not much to be done for it but to push through.

Sunday

Type: Pass/Fail

Pull Ups - 2 sets of 10 (pass)

Handstand Push Ups - 2 sets of 15 (pass)

Hanging Bent Leg Raises - 2 sets of 10 (pass)

Bonus: none

Stepping up my leg raises, and making progress with my other movements, too.  Though my pull up target number has been holding steady, I'm feeling better about doing them during the routine and expect to step things up soon.

Tuesday

Type: As Fast As Possible

5 sets of:

5 Pull Ups

5 Bridges

Time = 2:15

Bonus: none

Wow.  I'd thought doing half of one of my past weekend challenges would be a fine way to gauge myself, but I ripped through that far more quickly than I'd expected.  I don't want to read too much into one workout result, but maybe there was more truth to my musing about having lost confidence in myself baselessly than I'd expected.

Wednesday

Type: Pass/Fail

Pistol Squats - 2 sets of 5, each side (pass)

Push Ups - 2 sets of 20 (pass)

Bridges - 2 sets of 15 (pass)

Bonus: none

Now I'm getting somewhere.  I'm being cautious about not advancing too quickly, but I'm handling these numbers quite well.

Thursday

Type: As Fast As Possible

3 sets of:

21/15/9 Plyometric Lunges

21/15/9 Push Ups

21/15/9 Straight Leg Raises

Time = 4:15

Bonus: none

Still stagnating on that time, despite the other promising performances earlier this week.  Frustrating, but maybe it's a sign to stop beating my head against a wall with this routine.

Saturday

Type: As Fast As Possible

50 Burpees

Time = 4:45

Bonus: 5 bridges

Continuing with the half-challenge idea from Tuesday, this one was half of my old monthly challenge.  The final number was good, though I took one or two more breaks during it to catch my breath than I used to do.  That seems like something that can be addressed by getting back into the groove of doing these routines, though.  I'm looking forward to seeing where I can go from here.
