And part three.
Monday
Muay Thai class
This was a kick endurance class, mostly working on round kicks targeting different levels, with some front kicks mixed in as well. It was a nice grind to start the week, though sadly, the holiday weekend meant there was no second class.
Tuesday
Muay Thai class
This class started out with head-to-head back-and-forth defense drills, with the kru saying she wanted us to focus on being quick to return after defending. Some people didn't seem to get that memo, but I pushed the pace as much as I could despite that. We then transitioned to padwork to polish up what were presumably some trouble spots that the kru observed. No second class this day, as that session was dedicated to fighter preparation.
Wednesday
Muay Thai class + Boxing class
This class was about building up some progressive sequences. It was tiring, but in a good/challenging way, and I'm always down for mixing in some stiff-arm shoves to off-balance people. The boxing class was a lot of lead-side work, so my shoulder clearly wore out, but I kept grinding away as much as I could. A different sort of tiring challenge, but also a good one.
Thursday
Muay Thai class + Boxing class
The first class focused on sequences into and out of front kicks. It was a bit more niche than usual, but I found it interesting since there are a few front kick set-ups that I tend to have frequent success with in sparring. The boxing class was a basics review, which I was glad for because I was too tired to do something much more complicated than that. We finished up with a couple round of freestyle bagwork, which I probably sucked at because I was just trying to keep busy through my fatigue. No complaints, though.
