The ankle continues to linger but improve.
Monday
Muay Thai class
This was a pretty basic fundamentals review class, probably since there was a new person who needed some help getting started out; as usual, this is not a complaint, because I like these classes. In any case, I was partnered with one of the aspiring competitive fighters, who I've had some rapport with in the past, so we had fun mixing in some defense checks as well. Good solid training session overall.
Tuesday
Muay Thai class
This was a boxing class, running a mix of drills working offense, defense, and countering. I had a different relatively experienced partner this time, who I also had some previous rapport with, so we mixed in some more defense checks along the way to help push things harder. Once again, a good and fun session.
Wednesday
Muay Thai class
There was another new person trying out a class this day, so it was fundamentals review again, and this time the kru put me in a trio with them to help them out. They were clearly overwhelmed by the physical demands (as everyone is to start out, so this is not criticism), but they seemed to still listen to advice and try to implement it despite that. I appreciated the display, and it should bode well for their development, if they decide to stick around.
Thursday
Muay Thai class
This was a fun one to close out the week, working on in some elbow and knee strikes. A nice way to unwind and cap things off for what had been a frustrating week for me in other areas.
