Finally felt pretty much fully recovered this week. Good stuff.
Monday
Muay Thai class
This was a stamina-focused class, but I was in a trio, so it wasn't too bad to keep up. One of the others with me was the newbie from the previous week, and they were sadly less receptive to advice this time. Their loss to be on their own with it, now.
Tuesday
Muay Thai class
This was a boxing class, working on mid-length sequences with some defense mixed in. It was taxing, but I got through it well enough. During our finishing calisthenics, a couple of the competitive fighters decided to tease me about how they were anticipating seeing me compete. My quietness does not mean that I can't pick up on their sarcasm.
Wednesday
Muay Thai class
This was a light sparring day; a very welcome surprise, after a long run of what seemed to be nothing but padwork classes. My personal goal for it was just to land three front kicks per round (to get some focus on working more at long range), which I was able to achieve. Hopefully these become more common again going forward.
Thursday
Muay Thai class
This was another boxing day to finish up the week. That said, since it had the usual light Thursday attendance with most of the competitive fighters going to spar at a partner gym, we did a little bit different from normal to have some fun. I made it a personal point of emphasis to sit on my punches consistently, and I think I managed that. It was a good session overall for polishing up some sticking points.
