Workout Recap - Week of February 22, 2026

I slipped on posting this on time again. Oh well.

Monday

Muay Thai class

This class was a stamina-grinder built around round kicks. The workload felt a bit lighter than usual, for some reason, but maybe that was just in my head. In any case, I felt good about how I did.

Tuesday

Muay Thai class

This was an offense>defense>counter class. We ended up building towards more complex drills than usual, which made for a nice mental challenge to keep everything on track. I thought it was a good test of sustaining focus through physical wear. The kru said that I did well with it, too, which is always nice to hear.

Wednesday

Muay Thai class

Once again focused on round kicks for this class. The kru complimented me on keeping up well with the more complex stuff we were doing for the second day in a row, which is now giving me suspicions, but I'm trying to quiet them down and just accept the notice. All in all, it was nothing too remarkable, but it was a good training session.

Thursday

Muay Thai class

A new boxing coach took over the class for today, joking that it was his job interview. We did a mix of skill drills, reaction work, and general fitness stuff. I'd say it leaned a little closer to what I'd think of as cardio kickboxing than what I prefer, but it was still enough in the realm of practical work for me to be open to doing more of his classes, once I'm able to do double-classes again.
