Late posting this one. I've been in a bit of a funk.
Monday
Muay Thai class
This was a simple grinder class to get some work in after a big snowstorm over the weekend. I think I kept up well and had a fairly solid performance overall. It also seemed like I had my partner regret holding pads for my low kicks by the end, which always feels good. Overall, an unremarkable but generally fine session.
Tuesday
Muay Thai class
This class was a basic kick review, with some punching mixed in to keep things from being too basic. I took it as a good opportunity to focus on cleaning up my recovery after landing round kicks, because it had felt like I was tending to over-rotate lately and end up more bladed than I started. All in all, a useful refresher.
Wednesday
Muay Thai class
This class worked on extended offensive sequences with level-changing. It was also a good chance to keep working on recovering back into my stance after kicks, as a happy accident. A fine class overall.
Thursday
Muay Thai class
This was a boxing day, working on a mix of offense and defense. It involved lots of jabbing, which also made it a nice test of my lead shoulder's stamina, which tends to wear out faster than I would like as a lingering consequence of some old health issues. I did alright, but as ever, I ended up with some points to improve on going forward.
