I've got nothing to say for today.

Monday

Muay Thai class (x2)

This was a stamina-grind class, doing extended sequences of basic techniques. It seemed like my punches were developing some decent sustained pop even as I fatigued. The second class was head-to-head back-and-forth drills; always a good time. The kru said to dial back the power and focus on fast exchanges which was apparently a message that some people didn't get, but I wore them down over the rounds I did with them, and it was noticeable enough for the kru to call them out for lolligagging too much. Despite all the ways in which I still suck, at least that's one thing I have going for me.

Tuesday

Muay Thai class

This was more basics review with an emphasis on stamina. I worked with a pair of newbies, one of whom was delightfully receptive to advice. The other was treating the class as a waste of time, but that had been what I expected from them anyway. At least I enjoyed partnering with the first one.

Wednesday

Muay Thai class

This was another fundamental review class, since there were a few newbies who still needed that. The kru told one of them to train in a trio with me because she trusted me to keep them safe, which was quite a compliment because I can remember back to when I started and used to be a person who she worried about keeping safe. The class itself was mostly straightforward stuff with nothing of note aside from some interpersonal drama that didn't involve me. Good, effective training session, though.

Thursday

Muay Thai class

This was a round kick-focused class. We mixed in a little bit of round kick defense as well, but it was mostly about attacking. We finished up by having everyone count out ten leg raises, which made for a total of about 220 reps, if I kept track correctly. Tough stuff, but I got in almost all of them, aside from taking 3 or 4 reps off towards the final quarter for some breath breaks.
