And finishing catching up.
Monday
Muay Thai class
This class was a head-to-head back-and-forth defense class, which are always welcome from my perspective, since it's never not nice to get some practice hitting other humans. I had a fun time with it, and finishing up with some freestyle boxing exchanges was a fine capstone.
Tuesday
Muay Thai class
This class focused on boxing offense and slipping. Granted, we fit in some kicks as well, but the hands and head movement were the areas of emphasis. While I don't rely on slipping as my primary defensive approach because I don't trust my reactions to be fast enough for that, I always appreciate working on it because I do generally have success mixing it in preemptively when I've got a read on someone's response patterns.
Wednesday
Muay Thai class
We did some padwork body shot practice to start this class. As usual, that's something I enjoy making other people regret wearing a belly pad for, and this class was no exception. We polishing it off with a seven-spot drill station gauntlet rotation, which is shorter than some of the others I've done, but I went hard enough to still be wiped by the end of it. Fun times.
Thursday
Muay Thai class
This was a front kick-focused class. It went for high volume, off of either simple initiation strikes or defensive techniques. As usual, it was nice and practical work.
