Clearly, I did not make it happen last week. I just can't seem to push my focus where I want it to be these days. Oh well, nothing to do but to try again.
Monday
Â
Muay Thai class
It was head-to-head back-and-forth defense drills to start off the week again. If the guest kru keeps this pattern up, that would be a welcome trend. Even the awkwardness of doing those in a trio didn't stop me from having fun. Granted, the drills themselves had a couple of oddballs, as I expect with the guest kru, but most of them were sensible and practical overall, so I can't complain much.
Tuesday
Â
Muay Thai class
This was a stamina day, with an interesting approach of having paired drills with an initial simple starter and then an extension built on top of it. It made for an additional challenge to keep switching between short and long sequences like that. I liked it.
Wednesday
Â
Muay Thai class
The guest kru had us working on stamina in padwork this day. Nothing fancy individually, but altogether, it was a good test of athleticism. The way we went about it clashed with an old health issue of mine, but perhaps that just made it well-suited to check how well I've recovered from that.
Thursday
Â
Muay Thai class
This was a boxing day, working on differentiating when to punch much for speed or for power. It was a good way to work on subtle variety within a given category of techniques. Good class.
