I can read between the lines.
Tuesday
Muay Thai class
This was a volume day, to make up for the holiday on Monday disrupting the regular flow of things. We did a few rounds of smaller drills and then putting them together into a larger one, then eventually finished up with some high volume round kicks. It was a good grinder straight off of a bit of a break.
Wednesday
Muay Thai class
The guest kru was back to teaching for this day, and he was also back to having us do rather niche stuff. In this case, it was several drills built around tripled round kicks from the same side. Not the most practical stuff, but I suppose it could be good for developing balance and coordination.
Thursday
Muay Thai class
This was a boxing day. I got partnered with someone experienced, too, so we mixed in some extra defense checks. I felt like held up well overall, though I could stand to be a bit looser in my shoulders on my approach to get a little more speed with my initial punch.
Saturday
Muay Thai class
I had another atypically open weekend, so I stopped in for some surprise light sparring. My personal goal was to land three lead hooks to the body each round, which I came close to accomplishing (there were two rounds against the guest kru where I didn't do it, but that was kind of expected since he is a much better fighter than I am overall and so didn't leave me much of a window to try getting those in). Aside from that, I think I was also better about being more aggressive in general, as I've been working off the rust from a long period without much sparring. It was a good finish to the week.
