Big competitive event last weekend fucked up my sleep schedule, but aside from that, I feel fine overall about how my training is going. I probably could use a healing break for my various little dings, but they aren't enough to stop me yet, so I'm willing to keep working through them.
Monday
Muay Thai class
This was a stamina-focused class, as usual for Mondays, though in an interesting twist, it was built around knee strikes rather than punches or kicks. I think I had a pretty fine time with it, and there isn't much more that I have to say than that.
Tuesday
Muay Thai class
There were a couple of newbies in this class, so we kept it focused on basics. My brain was pretty disconnected from reality this day, honestly, so I mostly coasted through it. That said, I still easily held a three-minute plank during finishing calisthenics, which I'm taking as a sign that my body is doing its work even when my mind is misbehaving.
Wednesday
Muay Thai class
This was a boxing class, mostly working on building around straight punches. It was a good review of fundamentals, and for the first time in all of my time training, I somehow managed to scrape the knuckles of my right hand through my gloves and handwraps. The scrapes were on good contact points, at least, so I'm taking that as a little sign that I was doing something right.
Thursday
Muay Thai class
In contrast to the previous class, this one was focused on round kicks. That was fine by me, since the few punches I did throw with my right hand were irritating the scrapes from the previous day. At least my kicks felt decent, though.
