Workout Recap - Week of July 30, 2017

This is an idea that I'm copying rather shamelessly from PaleOMG. If you're reading this, I encourage you to check out that blog, too!

This was a busy week for me, so I only had 4 workouts, and one of those was an easy quickie just to have done something that day. Not exactly the greatest place to start posting from, but at least things should get better from here.

Type: Pass/Fail

Handstand Push Ups - 1 set of 17 (pass)

Uneven Pull Ups - 1 set of 11, each side (pass)

Shrimp Squats - 1 set of 11, each side (pass)

Bonus: 4 sets of 3 thigh clap push ups, 10 fingertip push ups

I'm feeling pretty good with 17 handstand push ups now, so I should probably start aiming for doing 18 when it's only a single set.

Type: As Fast As Possible

5 sets of:

5 Pull Ups

10 Push Ups

15 Prisoner Squats

Time = 5:15

Bonus: none

A rather busy day that left me with neither the time nor the energy to do much (hence the lack of any finishing bonus), but this is always a good all-around standby, even if I prefer doing 8-10 sets of it in general. Still, it's better than not working out at all would've been, so I shouldn't complain.

Type: Pass/Fail

1-Armed Push Ups, Feet Together - 2 sets of 6, each side (pass)

Stand-to-Stand Bridges (with one touch of a wall on the way up) - 2 sets of 6 (pass)

Hanging V Raises - 2 sets of 8 (pass)

Bonus: 2 sets of 3 suicide jumps

Pretty solid performance, I think. I'm still a ways away from doing fully freestanding stand-to-stand bridges, but I'm making progress.

Type: As Fast As Possible

7 sets of:

7 Pull Ups

7 Bridges

Time = 7:15

Bonus: 1 pull up, 1 bridge, 10 burpees

This was a disappointing time, falling a full minute short of my personal record. I think it was a consequence of the hustle and bustle during the week catching up to me, along with having taken it easy on myself for most of the week. Hopefully, things get turned around for a better result next time.
