Workout Recap - Week of June 30, 2019

This one's going to be brief, because I'm mostly just trying not to melt.

 

Sunday

Type: Pass/Fail

Kneeling Fingertip Push Ups - 1 set of 20 (pass)

One-armed Dead Hangs - 1 set of 12 breaths, each side (pass)

Cossack Squats - 1 set of 5, each side (pass)

Bonus: none

I should've done more Cossack squats. For some reason, I'd thought that I did two sets of three last time. I'm going to blame the heat for making me overlook actually checking my log.

Tuesday

Type: Pass/Fail

Kneeling Fingertip Push Ups - 2 sets of 16 (pass)

One-armed Dead Hangs - 2 sets of 10 breaths, each side (pass)

Cossack Squats - 2 sets of 5, each side (pass)

Bonus: 2 sets of 5 bridge kips

It was good to see some improvement.

Wednesday

Type: As Fast As Possible

5 sets of:

5 Pull Ups

10 Push Ups

15 Prisoner Squats

Time = 5:30

Bonus: 3 burpees

Once again, this was just a moderate workout due to the danger from the weather.

Friday

Type: Pass/Fail

Close Handstand Push Ups - 1 set of 7 (pass)

Stand-to-stand Bridges, one wall touch on the way up - 1 set of 10 (pass)

Skin-the-Cats - 1 set of 8 (pass)

Bonus: 5 bridge kips

It's been tricky to get my legs involved in my kips (my body defaults to relying solely on hip snap), but when I do make a point of kicking into them, I can get my hands to just leave the floor. It's not enough to turn it into a full kip yet, but it's nice to see signs of that potential.

Saturday

Type: Pass/Fail

Kneeling Fingertip Push Ups - 1 set of 20 (pass)

Pull Ups - 1 set of 16 (pass)

Cossack Squats - 1 set of 7, each side (pass)

Bonus: 3 bridge kips

This day was a scorcher, so there was no chance that I was going to do anything against a clock. Even just doing this much, with able breaks to catch my breath between sets, was pretty much the limit of what I could handle.
