Workout Recap - Week of November 8, 2020
Honestly, I don't really have much to say for the intro this week. Something's off with me lately, but I don't think it's depression. I'm able to be happy and enjoy myself, but there's just this nagging sense that I'm missing some kind of a spark to really do more.
Sunday
Type: Pass/Fail
Close Pull Ups - 1 set of 7 (pass)
Diamond Push Ups - 1 set of 20 (pass)
Closing Bridges - 1 set of 5 (pass)
Bonus: none
This was a late "have to make sure I do something"-type of workout. I'm pleased with how it went despite its origins, but I would've wanted to do more. Just have to brush it off and move forward, of course.
Tuesday
Type: As Fast As Possible
3 sets of:
21/15/9 Plyometric Lunges
21/15/9 Push Ups
21/15/9 Straight Leg Raises
Time = 4:30
Bonus: none
Behind the scenes, I've been having a recurring issue of late where I plan to do a certain workout, and then, as the time to do it approaches, I swerve into something else. This was a result of that. Again, nothing wrong with it in a vacuum, but I'm disappointed in myself for resorting to that.
Thursday
Type: Pass/Fail
Pistol Squats - 1 set of 9, each side (pass)
Shoulder-width Handstand Push Ups - 1 set of 13 (pass)
Hanging Straight Leg Raises - 1 set of 8 (pass)
Bonus: none
Steady progress across the board. I'll take it.
Saturday
Type: Pass/Fail
Close Pull Ups - 2 sets of 6 (pass)
Diamond Push Ups - 2 sets of 16 (pass)
Closing Bridges - 2 sets of 4 (pass)
Bonus: 5 burpees
Pushing back to two sets on this one, and that push up number in particular felt good, considering it was my target for a single set to finish last week. I'm sure that's also a sign that I'm holding back more than I should with at least some of these, but as I've said ad nauseam, I'm playing it safe on purpose to minimize the chances of suffering an injury during the current pandemic.
