Workout Recap - Week of May 9, 2021

This week's workouts weren't ambitious. My goal was just to get back to some measure of normalcy. I think I succeeded at that. I'm hoping to get back to other stuff on the blog (D2 guides, mutable maps series, the Factory-Hall of the Iron Shaman, video game reviews) in the near future, too. For now, though, I'm just focusing on putting one foot down in front of the other.

Monday

Type: Pass/Fail

Uneven Pull Ups - 2 sets of 5, each side (pass)

Uneven Push Ups - 2 sets of 12, each side (pass)

Isometric L-Hang - 2 sets of 16 breaths (pass)

Bonus: none


This was mostly about forcing myself to something. One can only dwell in thoughts for so long before going further insane.

Tuesday

Type: Pass/Fail

Shrimp Squats - 1 set of 10, each side (pass)

Close Handstand Push Ups - 1 set of 10 (pass)

Stand-to-stand Bridges, one wall touch on the way up - 1 set of 6 (pass)

Bonus: none


Finishing off the movement rotation from yesterday.


Thursday

Type: Pass/Fail

Shrimp Squats - 3 sets of 6, each side (pass)

Stand-to-stand Bridges, one wall touch on the way up - 3 sets of 4 (pass)

Bonus: none


Trying to make up for taking things light with the overall rep counts in the last workout.


Friday

Type: Pass/Fail

Close Handstand Push Ups - 2 sets of 7 (pass)

Isometric L-Hang - 2 sets of 14 breaths (pass)

Bonus: none


Interesting that I didn't have any tightness in my right forearm during the handstand push ups as can sometimes creep in when I'm alternating between those and bar work. I suppose just hanging from the bar wasn't enough to pass whatever critical loading is required in that direction.
