It's been good to have my martial arts training as a grounding element in tumultuous times. Monday Muay Thai class This was a fundamentals review class, partly to help a new person get started. I was in a trio with them, too, for extra help. They seemed to listen and tried to apply the advice I was giving, which is always welcome. A fine way to start their time at this gym. Tuesday Muay Thai class This class was about grinding out long sequences to build stamina. Some

I feel like I somehow have a lot and nothing going on at the same time lately. I am reminded of the song DOS by Ayria. Monday Muay Thai class This class was about setting up round kicks. It was pretty fundamental stuff, but as usual, I'm always fine with working on that. Nothing fancy, but I'll take practical and effective over annoying chaff any day. Monday Muay Thai class This was a statutory holiday in Ontario, so we celebrated with some stamina-grinding. Since the holiday threw off typical attendance, I got to part with one of the competitive fighters who I don't work with much anymore. We had a good time mixing in a little freestyl

Roughly on time with this one, at least. Monday Muay Thai class This class worked on some less common follow-ups to boxing openers, going into either elbow strikes or front kicks. It was also nice as a subtle way of training different range adjustments after initiating. I had a good time with it. Tuesday Muay Thai class This class started out with some light freestyle back-and-forth. Some people decided to interpret that as light sparring, which caused me some confusio
