Workout Recap - Week of December 13, 2020
Things were a bit topsy-turvy for me this week, and are likely to be so again for the next, so I did only three workouts. As for after that, time will tell. I'd like to step back up to more frequent workouts, but it isn't the highest priority in my life at the moment.
Monday
Type: Pass/Fail
Pistol Squats - 1 set of 9, each side (pass)
Close Pull Ups - 1 set of 13 (pass)
Diamond Push Ups - 1 set of 22 (pass)
Bonus: none
Maintaining on two movements while making progress on a third. It's not the most monumental workout ever by any means, but it's progress.
Wednesday
Type: Pass/Fail
Shoulder-width Handstand Push Ups - 2 sets of 8 (pass)
Hanging Straight Leg Raises - 2 sets of 8 (pass)
Closing Bridges - 2 sets of 4 (pass)
Bonus: 8 chin ups
The closing bridges felt really good today, particularly on the second set. I still need to do more before I'll be ready for real stand-to-stand bridges, but I'm noticing definite advancement towards that goal.
Saturday
Type: Pass/Fail
Close Pull Ups - 1 set of 13 (pass)
Shoulder-width Handstand Push Ups - 1 set of 15 (pass)
Diamond Push Ups - 1 set of 22 (pass)
Bonus: none
More progress with my handstand push ups. Relative to having started doing that movement in February 2015, I think I'm getting close to being able to do some without a wall, now that I've improved my body alignment in that position.
